Fraktal is a Java server. Minecraft Bedrock (consoles, phones, Windows 10) is not supported.

The server offers it when you connect: accept it. It dresses the menus, the items and the monsters.

  4. 4

    To go further

Never required: Sodium for smoothness, Iris for shadows, Distant Horizons to see far.

Waking up on the Isle of Awakening

The first time you connect, you do not arrive in Arkendis: you are dreaming. The Veilleur teaches you the essentials there in about 12 minutes. Nobody dies on the island, and you leave it at level 3, with 60 ◈ in your pocket.

  1. The arrival

A voice tells you, over music, why the sky of Fraktal cracked and what the Mark you carry means.

  2. Le Veilleur

Gardien de l'Éveil, he waits for you on the square: right-click to talk to him. He hands you one tool per gathering profession. These tools are bound to you: they cannot be dropped or sold, and you keep them when you die.

  3. One node per profession

Mineur, Bûcheron, Herboriste, Pêcheur, and Géodier: gather from one node of each. With the right tool in hand, hold right-click until the bar is full. At the fish school, right-click with the rod, then click again in the green when something bites.

  4. Your class, then your first spell

Go back to the Veilleur. Around the rune stands one statue per class: right-click and it presents its class, then you choose. Your Awakening weapon lands in your hotbar. Then type /classe, open the Tree and take the spell at the very top.

  5. The Trial (l'Épreuve)

The Fracture portal opens an arena just for you, where 3 waves await. A circle lights up under your feet? Step out of it: the blow lands right after. Left-click to strike, right · left · right to cast your spell.

    • Crabeille de l'Éveil, the in-game model, seen from the front.

      Wave 1

      Crabeille de l'Éveil

    • Carapierre de l'Éveil, the in-game model, seen from the front.

      Wave 2

      Carapierre de l'Éveil × 2

    • Méduse de la Voûte, the in-game model, seen from the front.

      Wave 3

      Méduse de la Voûte

  6. An attribute point

The Trial took you to level 3. Type /stats and put your point wherever you like.

  7. Le Cœur de l'Éveil

Walk up to the great crystal: it wakes you.

  8. Waking up

You open your eyes in a bed at the inn, in Arkendis. Downstairs, Mirella calls you: the soup is hot.

In Arkendis

Your first moves in town.

  • Talk to a townsperson

    Right-click on them.

  • The dialogue box

The text writes itself. A click (or Shift) finishes it, the next one moves to the following line. Facing a choice: keys 1, 2, 3, or the mouse wheel then a click.

  • Above townspeople

Gold !: a quest to take. Gold ?: a quest to hand in. Grey ?: a quest in progress goes through them, but not yet.

  • Your quest journal

Slot 9 of your hotbar, right-click. Or /quete.

  • The compass

At the top of the screen: where you are, the landmarks you have discovered and the quest you follow.

  • Your screen, your way

Esc, then Interface, or /interface: move, resize or hide the frame, the compass, the minimap and the group at the top of the screen with the mouse.

  • Play in a group

/groupe inviter and a name, or Shift + right-click on a player: up to 4 together. The invitation shows at the bottom right of the screen: Shift + F accepts, Shift + Q refuses (Shift + A on an AZERTY keyboard: it is the drop key).

  • The Bank and the Auction House

No command: you walk there. Dame Mélisende runs the Bank, Maître Tomas the Auction House.

  • Music

Every place has its own music. /musique turns it off, for you alone.

  • The tutorial book

    /tuto opens it again.
